In line with global awareness promoting sustainable living, which means minimizing environmental impacts and contributing to a more balanced ecosystem with products and designs that last, MOIEHAUS introduced design enthusiasts to the minimalist and functional aesthetics of Vipp, a Danish roots brand. The design talk, titled “Sustainable Space” was held on the 56th floor of Regent Residences Jakarta, where urban ambiance set a perfect backdrop to match Vipp’s design philosophy.

Vipp, the brand started with the pedal-controlled bin in 1939 and continues to evolve creating products with a minimalist design approach, durable and functional. On this occasion, Morten Wolden, the CEO of Vipp, and Philip Nørgaard, the Contract Sales Manager, shared stories about Vipp’s journey and its sustainable projects. Stories from pedal bins, lighting, kitchen, and pieces of furniture to unique and stunning guesthouses.

Adding to the local relevance was Santi Alaysius from Domisilium Studio, who has been pivotal in setting up Vipp’s area at MOIEHAUS. She shared her thoughts on the design approach and the sustainable ideas for the interior project, offering a glimpse into the careful thought process behind creating a space yet aesthetic and eco-friendly.

The discourse extended into the culinary realm with Chef Fernando Sindu sharing insights on kitchen design and functionality from a chef’s perspective. His segment was complemented by a selection of canapés, allowing the guests to indulge in a casual tasting session.

MOIEHAUS’ initiative in bringing Vipp to Jakarta’s design community was not just about introducing a brand. It was a gentle nudge towards engaging discussions on sustainable.
design, which is slowly but surely gaining traction in urban living spaces. The event left a subtle but significant impression, opening avenues for more meaningful discussions on
design, sustainability, and the elegant interplay between the two in years to come.
