Welcoming the holy month of Ramadan, beginning on 19 February 2026, ARTOTEL Gelora Senayan presents “Batalin di Senayan,” a communal iftar program featuring the richness of Indonesian cuisine through a special menu collaboration between Chef Ragil Imam Wibowo, Asian Cuisine Chef of the Year 2018, and Chef Raynaldo, Executive Chef of ARTOTEL Gelora Senayan.

This collaboration highlights a variety of regional Indonesian dishes that may even be unfamiliar to some, but enticing nevertheless.  Beginning from Aceh, the gateway of spices,  with layered and aromatic flavors; to Tapanuli with the distinctive zing of andaliman peppers that is native to the area; and to East Nusa Tenggara, a region known for its bold flavors, vibrant heat, and a traditional smoking techniques.

The journey continues to Southeast Sulawesi, where seafood and land-based ingredients come together in simple yet characterful preparations, before concluding in Maluku, the famed Spice Islands, celebrating freshness, exotic aromas, and bold pairings of seafood and fruits. The overall menu is designed as an immersive culinary journey, authentic, expressive, and rich in storytelling, transforming iftar into a unique nusantara-centric experience. The must try: go straight to the nasi campur booth where you get to mix all the daily special protein and vegetable on a pincuk (banana leaf cone), which may include Artotel’s iconic crispy dendeng balado, sayur lilin, pisang cooked in santan. The combination will be a pleasant surprise.

Widely recognized in the Indonesian culinary scene as one of the most passionate advocates of the nation’s gastronomic heritage, Chef Ragil has long dedicated himself to introducing Indonesia’s vast culinary wealth—both in ingredients and cooking techniques—to a wider audience. With that commitment comes a clear understanding of the constraints and limitations often encountered in the process. “I refrain from calling my cooking ‘authentic,’ but we strive to stay true to the recipes used by local communities, especially by using the most essential and distinctive ingredients sourced directly from their regions,” he explained.

Batalin di Senayan is available at IDR 428,000 nett per person. To further celebrate Ramadan, Lidah Lokal Senayan also offers a special Buy 4 Get 5 promotion, valid during the first and fourth weeks of Ramadan.

In addition to the “Batalin di Senayan” iftar package, ARTOTEL Gelora Senayan also offers a takjil package at Buka Mata Coffee Shop, which includes sweet tea, Sukari dates, two types of traditional fried snacks, and a choice of es campur or kolak, priced at IDR 98,000 net.
