First held in 2022, Gaia Music Festival is an annual initiative by The Gaia Hotel Bandung, designed to elevate the music experience into something more intimate and exclusive. Set against Bandung’s mountain landscape and five-star hospitality, GMF blends music, comfort, and togetherness into one unforgettable celebration.

Gaia Music Festival (GMF) officially announced its fifth edition during a press conference held at Habitate Jakarta on Tuesday (7/7). This marks the beginning of the journey toward one of Bandung’s most anticipated music festivals, set to take place on August 14–15, 2026 at The Gaia Hotel Bandung.

Organized by The Gaia Hotel Bandung, GMF 2026 carries the theme “Music For All”, designed as a welcoming space where music transcends boundaries. Rony Triawan, Chairman of Gaia Music Festival, explained that the theme was born from the belief that music is a universal language capable of uniting people regardless of background. He emphasized that GMF aims to create a warm, meaningful encounter between musicians, communities, and audiences across generations. More than just a showcase of quality performances, the festival invites audiences of all ages, backgrounds, and musical tastes to share in an intimate, inspiring experience amidst Bandung’s lush natural surroundings.

This year’s lineup features renowned names including Gigi Jazz Project, RAN, Teddy Adhitya, Adikara, Littlefingers, Keubitbit, Love Is, and a special collaboration between Karimata & Tiara Effendy. With genres ranging from pop, rock, and jazz to indie, the program embodies the Music For All spirit by embracing diverse audiences. The Endless Stage, an alternative venue set against Bandung’s scenic backdrop, will host Bass G Feat. Song Brothers for two consecutive days, offering a more relaxed and interactive atmosphere.

Artists expressed their excitement during the press conference. Chandra Darusman of Karimata highlighted their signature collaborative format, this time with Tiara Effendy. Dewa Budjana and Gusti Hendy revealed that Gigi Jazz Project will reinterpret GIGI’s classics with fresh jazz arrangements, while Jason Mountario of Love Is promised improvisational surprises from their latest album. Teddy Adhitya noted the festival’s unique ambience as a highlight of performing in Bandung.

Bagas Indyatmono, Founder of Jazz Gunung Indonesia, shared that GMF’s curation balances established names with emerging talents, ensuring audiences enjoy both legacy acts and fresh voices. Meanwhile Aven Putranto, Executive Assistant Manager of The Gaia Hotel Bandung, emphasized that GMF reflects the hotel’s commitment to meaningful hospitality. Through its Active/Rest philosophy, the hotel integrates music into its identity, offering guests not only quality performances but also a comfortable, family-friendly, and inclusive environment. Beyond entertainment, GMF 2026 also champions inclusivity and sustainability. The festival grounds are designed to be family- and disability-friendly, while eco-conscious initiatives will be implemented to minimize environmental impact.

Ultimately, Gaia Music Festival 2026 invites music lovers to share two days of harmony, inspiration, and connection. More than just a festival, GMF is a communal space to celebrate diversity through the universal language of music. Alongside the daily passes which can be obtained via tix.id, special room bundling packages can also be obtained via their official website.
