Promoting the authentic Sichuan feast at OPEN} Restaurant brought by Chinese guest chefs Arvin Ai and Victor Jiang from Hilton Chengdu, DoubleTree by Hilton Jakarta – Diponegoro held a cooking demonstration on its opening day, 8 October 2018.
Chef Arvin Ai showed how to prepare and cook two highlighted dishes: Chongqing Spicy Chicken and Stewed Freshwater Fishes with Pickled Vegetable, using spices brought from Chengdu such as mala. Unlike its original recipe which can make you sweat while eating, the spiciness level has been reduced by around 40% to cater to wider palate.
You can still look forward to strong spice taste and delectable oily broth, signature of Sichuan dishes. Aside from the highlights, don’t miss out on the noodle and mini hot-pot. The dinner promotion will still be available until 14 October 2018.
