Anyer and the surrounding area is gradually recovering from the tsunami in Sunda strait since last December 22, 2019. It was inevitable to face all the impacts in tourism and hospitality sectors. This was experienced by Aston Anyer Beach Hotel by Archipelago International with declining on room nights. But then in early February 2019 on Chinese New Years period, the condition is slowly picking up.

According to Doddy Fathurahman as General Manager of Aston Anyer Beach Hotel “On period of Chinese New Year from 2-5 February 2019, the room occupancy reached to 40% from domestic guests coming from surrounding Anyer area. They were very optimist that Anyer area is already safe. Therefore we are confident that by end of March 2019, the room occupancy will reach to 60% with weekender guests coming from Jakarta.”

Various CSR programs have been implemented by the management and all team of Aston Anyer Beach Hotel, which one of programs was donating necessary goods and cash to tsunami victims in Labuan, Padarincang and several other evacuation points on last January 2019. All donation are collected by hotels under management of Archipelago International.

Management of Aston Anyer Beach Hotels together with other hotels in Banten area, initiated to support local government program to re-open business activities in Anyer, Carita and Tanjung Lesung regions, as discussed and committed on last February 6, 2019 during “Tourism Development with Mitigation Strategies” at Aston Anyer Beach Hotel. The initiative was responded positively by representative of Tourism Ministry joining the discussion.
