Embracing the year 2021, UOB Painting of the Year, a series of events organized by UOB Indonesia is currently in preparation for 2021 painting competition. As part of the series, the UOB Painting of the Year 2020 with themed ‘Melukis Asa’ Painting Hope virtual exhibition & tour will run from February to April 2021 featuring 30 artworks from 30 finalists and 2020 UOB Painting of the Year winners, and a series of webinars in March and April 2021.

Whereas, the winner of Indonesian, as well as the winner of Southeast Asian Painting of the Year 2020 Winner, Prabu Pradana from Bandung, through his painting titled Isolated Garden, he defines the theme of Solidarity painted acrylic on canvas 150×100 cm to illustrate a consciousness for self-distancing amid the ongoing pandemic.
 

In the emerging artist category, Michelle Felicia Darmawan, winner of UOB Most Promising Artist of the Year through her painting titled This Too Shall Pass, 80×120 cm oil on canvas, she defines the sudden shock and after effects caused by the pandemic.
