The month of Ramadan is always a special moment of gratitude, sharing, and strengthening bonds of friendship. In the spirit of compassion and togetherness, Archipelago held an Iftar event on 26 March 2025 with the Pelestari Kampung Gasong community, a group of residents living in the Jakarta area. This event was held as a manifestation of Archipelago‘s commitment to giving back to the community and helping others.
Kampung Gasong is a home to individuals who work hard to earn daily earnings by collecting and selling recyclable items to support their living, such as bottles and wood. Given their challenging economic conditions, Ramadan serves as the perfect time to strengthen solidarity and share happiness with them. As a form of care and support, Archipelago took the initiative to organize an Iftar gathering, aiming to spread joy and kindness among those in need.
For this special occasion, 28 families living at Kampung Gasong Preservation Family invited to break their fast together in a spirit of unity and compassion. More than just a shared meal, the event featured a short religious lecture (Kultum), interactive games for children, and the distribution of essential food aid and other staple necessities. Each family also received a special gift package as a gesture of care and support.
Besides inviting the residents of Kampung Gasong, Archipelago also welcomed representatives from the media, the Archipelago corporate team, and community leaders supporting Kampung Gasong.
