This April, the restaurant celebrates its 10th anniversary, marking a decade as one of Jakarta’s most refined destinations for those seeking the sacred in everyday moments. Since opening in 2016, OKU has embodied the Japanese philosophy behind its name: something profound, abstract, and elusive. Dining here is not just about flavor—it’s about peeling back layers, like an onion, to discover depth and meaning in each encounter.

For its milestone celebration, OKU presents the 10-course “OKUKASE” experience, a tribute to Japanese culinary artistry and the beauty of seasonal ingredients. The culinary journey begins with an exquisite Negitoro Pave amuse-bouche, followed by a Shiromi Carpaccio with delicate Ponzu Foam and the rich, aromatic Smoke Gyu Zabuton with Shishito. The experience deepens with Chizu Tori Katsu and a pristine sashimi trio of Chutoro, Amaebi, and Kyushu Soy, transitioning into a soul-warming Tarabagani Teppou Jiru.
The narrative continues through a curated Sushi Gallery featuring Hotate Yuzu, Kinmedai Shoga Joyu, and decadent Otoro Caviar with Kizami Wasabi. After refreshing the palate with a Lime Kiwi Sorbet, guests are invited to choose between the Signature Chirashi Chazuke or the indulgent Wagyu Truffle Foie Gras Don, a dish that epitomizes OKU’s philosophy of showcasing the natural beauty of ingredients. This decade-defining feast concludes with a charming Green Tea Sakura dessert, capturing the essence of a “true OKU moment”.

Complementing the menu is the Mastermind Series, a collection of 10 cocktails inspired by Japanese bartending traditions. Crafted with sake, shochu, and umeshu, each drink is designed to unfold in layers—revealing balance, nuance, and surprise with every sip.
