A total of 94 Indonesian student Awardees will be departing in the coming September 2020. This is the highest number of Awardees, in which 61 of the Awardees are entitled for full master degree scholarships by The European Union. This has made Indonesia in the Top 10 recipient countries. H.E. Vincent Piket added, this has been an open competitive program, neither on country or fields basis. ” Invest in your application, think carefully on the desired field and which university, define your objective well then apply!”

As from the representative of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Republic of Indonesia, Directorate General of Higher Education, Prof. Ir. Nizam, MSc, DIC, PhD gave strong messages to maximize this scholarship opportunity, building broader networks from different countries and creating global peace among nations. A vision and future goal, to plan this program only for Master levels but also Short Studies (Undergraduate), for global outlook networks. Also seeking possibilities to engage more with The European Union joint researches, between lecturers or even between institutions.

On the occasion, as representative of Erasmus+ Awardees 2020, Charlah Arlens Wowor from West Papua for Master International Tourism Management studied Prague, Czech Republic, shared her initial motivation applying for the program, which she is interested in sustainable tourism. H.E. Vincent Piket added, “Although we are in the global pandemic situation, the opportunities are still the same, ensuring access especially for disabilities. Adaptation will surely come later on. Some programs may be adjusted to telemode or classmode. Just make sure to apply in October-December 2020 for the year 2021!”
