More than 500 guests—including students, families, and neighbors—joined the celebration. The day featured an opening ceremony, spirited sports competitions, a bustling food bazaar, and a sunset movie screening to close out the festivities.
BSJ Interim Principal Phil Edwards shared the school’s vision for the new venue, “The Arena is a space for our community to come together, to grow, and to learn. It opens new possibilities, not only for sports, but also for assemblies and community events. Designed with care and intention, this space gives our students a stage to discover who they are and who they can become.”
James Bryson, Chair of the BSJ Board of Governors, highlighted the facility’s impact, “The Arena is one-of-a-kind—not just in South Tangerang, but across Indonesia. It will host sports, cultural events, and community programs, benefitting every student, parent, staff member, and neighbor. None of this would have been possible without the trust and support of our families.”
Local leaders also praised BSJ’s contribution. Sodikin, Head of the Sports Division at South Tangerang’s Youth and Sports Office, said “The Arena is impressive not only in its design but also in its spirit, ’feel the energy, live the connection.’ It strengthens community bonds and promotes student wellbeing.”
Edwards closed with a reminder of the school’s vision, “We hope The Arena becomes more than a building—a place where memories are made, confidence grows, and traditions evolve with a modern touch.”
