Maybank Indonesia and Muslim Pro, the world’s largest Muslim lifestyle app, have collaborated to launch Amanah Pro, a digital-based financial application developed to meet the needs of people preparing for the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages.
Amanah Pro is the first Islamic Banking-as-a-Service (iBaaS) platform launched in Indonesia. Through Amanah Pro, millions of Muslim Pro app users in Indonesia will be able to easily utilize available financial services without having to physically visit a bank branch. This feature is the first to be introduced to millions of Muslim Pro users in the country, supported by the Shariah Banking expertise of Maybank Indonesia’s Sharia Business Unit.
Through this service, Maybank Indonesia further strengthens its position as a Sharia-compliant digital banking enabler, while also providing relevant financial solutions for the modern Muslim community, particularly in preparing for the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages.
Through the implementation of iBaaS, people will have easier access to high-quality Sharia banking services directly from online community platforms that have become part of their daily lives, such as the Muslim Pro app.
The launch of Amanah Pro was attended by Maybank Indonesia President Director Steffano Ridwan, Director of Sharia Business Unit Director Romy H. Buchari, and Group Managing Director and CEO of Muslim Pro, Nafees Khundker on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, in Jakarta.
“The launch of Amanah Pro is proof that digital innovation and sharia principles can strengthen each other. This is part of our contribution to the sharia financial industry in Indonesia through collaboration with technology partners,” explained Steffano Ridwan.
Amanah Pro is a Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS)-based sharia banking technology platform that enables non-bank partners to provide banking services easily, flexibly, and in compliance with applicable regulations. Through this BaaS model, partners can provide sharia financial services to users as part of a digital ecosystem that has become part of their daily lives.
Maybank Indonesia’s Sharia Business Unit Director, Romy H. Buchari, stated that the launch of Amanah Pro is Maybank Indonesia’s flagship transformation initiative, aligned with its ROAR30 strategy, which aims to deliver a superior customer experience that positively impacts society.
“Through this collaboration, we are presenting the latest and most scalable innovations while still upholding Sharia principles in every customer’s financial journey. This is the first step in a long-term effort to strengthen an integrated halal ecosystem across segments,” said Romy.
Group Managing Director and CEO of Muslim Pro, Nafees Khundker, stated that the collaboration with Maybank Indonesia represents a significant milestone in providing relevant financial services to the global Muslim community.
Going forward, Maybank Indonesia will continue to develop Amanah Pro’s capabilities as a foundation for expanding collaboration across the digital ecosystem, while accelerating the transformation of Sharia financial services to be more inclusive, relevant, and based on the needs of modern society.
“This initiative not only reflects Maybank Indonesia’s commitment to providing innovative Sharia financial solutions but also strengthens its role as a key driver in driving the deepening of the Sharia financial market in Indonesia,” Romy concluded.
