
The biggest traditional fabric exhibition in Indonesia will return on 20-24 March 2019. Taking place in Hall A & B Jakarta Convention Center, Adiwastra Nusantara 2019 will host more than 400 exhibitors from all around the country, bringing varieties of batik, weaving, songket, embroideries and many more.
The exhibition is predicted to attract around 40,000 visitors with transaction value reaching 45-50 billion rupiah. With the theme of “Digital Generation of Wastra Adati”, the industry is continuously encouraged to integrate digital marketing and sales.
Meanwhile this year’s icons of Adiwastra Nusantara are Dodotan Solo (Batik Sriharta and other collectors), Sudagaran Solo (Hartono Sumarsono), antique Ulos (Torang Sitorus), Palembang Fabric (Darwina Ponco Sutowo), Madura Batik Market, Shibori (Shibori Kyoto Museum). Featured events include ‘Batik Sudagaran Solo’ book launching, Indonesian Shawl Competition, talkshow, demo, workshop and fashion show by Didiet Maulana ‘Tribute to Donggala’.
