The Papandayan International Jazz Online Competition (TPJC) 2026 returns as a global meeting point for jazz musicians from around the world. Carrying the theme “Unity in Harmony,” TPJC invites artists to express their identity, creativity, and musical narratives through the universal language of jazz, transcending geographical and physical boundaries.
Initiated during the pandemic, TPJC has evolved into a respected international online jazz competition that offers broad access for both professional and amateur jazz bands. Through its digital platform, TPJC goes beyond competition, fostering a creative ecosystem that encourages cultural exchange, collaboration, and meaningful cross-border connections.
Registration for TPJC 2026 is open from 20 December 2025 to 31 January 2026, followed by performance video submissions from 31 January to 31 March 2026. All registrations and video submissions must be completed exclusively via www.tpjazzfest.com.
To uphold artistic excellence and credibility, TPJC 2026 presents a distinguished panel of judges comprising leading figures in the jazz world: Venche Manuhutu, Hari Pochang, Dwiki Dharmawan, and Barry Likumahuwa, alongside two international judges to be announced soon. Their collective expertise brings diverse artistic perspectives and further reinforces TPJC’s standing as a world-class jazz competition.
TPJC 2026 is open to two categories: Youth Jazz (under 23 years old) and Jazz Warrior (above 23 years old). In addition to international recognition, winners will compete for cash prizes totaling hundreds of millions of rupiah, trophies, and the opportunity to perform at The Papandayan Jazz Fest 2026, as well as collaborate with leading jazz musicians. More than an awards platform, TPJC serves as a gateway to a wider international jazz network and a celebration of jazz as a medium of unity, creative dialogue, and global harmony.
TP Jazz is a jazz music event management program organized by The Papandayan Bandung, held at The Papandayan Hotel since 2013. Beyond the competition, TP Jazz curates a series of year-round programs, including TP Jazz Weekend, Monthly Special Performances, Road to The Papandayan Jazz Fest (TPJF), and the annual The Papandayan Jazz Fest, which marks its 10th edition this year.
