Governor of East Nusa Tenggara, Drs Frans Lebu Raya represented the Local Government of East Nusa Tenggara in the launching of Sikka Underwater book on 21 December 2017 at Sapta Pesona Building, Jakarta. Like previous books in the series featuring Alor, Lembata and East Flores, Sikka Underwater presents the beauty of the marine life thriving in the area. The photos are contributed by the underwater photo competition held by the government.

Located in Flores, Sikka Regency is easily accessible by flying to its capital Maumere, specifically the Frans Xavier Seda Airport which is the largest airport on the island. Sikka itself has been widely known as a scuba diving destination since 1970. An earthquake in 1992 caused severe damage to its coral reefs, but now it has returned to life and ready to welcome travelers and divers.

The earthquake even left a plate fracture on the ocean floor currently gaining popularity among visitors. Among the other spots are Koka Beach, Maumere Bay and Pangabatang Island. Despite its title, the book also features cultural interests and tourist destinations on the land, making it the perfect coffee table book for lovers of nature and authentic culture.
