After the success of the first Sheraton 3K Kuta Beach Fun Run, Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort together with UNICEF held another fun run event just recently to raise fund to help children in need under the umbrella of UNICEF Check Out for Children Challenge. The latter is an “employees fundraising competition” held between Starwood Hotels and Resorts in the Asia Pacific region in cooperation with UNICEF, which was first held in 2003. Starwood Hotels and Resorts has been partnered with UNICEF to raise funds for a number of worthy causes for the past 18 years. This time, Sheraton 3K Kuta Beach Fun Run raised USD 11,000.

“It is truly an honor for us to see the smiles upon all the runners’ faces at the Sheraton 3K Kuta Beach Fun Run For UNICEF,” said Dario Orsini, General Manager of Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort. “All of the participants’ and supporters’ enthusiasm was inspiring, and we are proud to be associated with such an important cause that lends aid to vulnerable children around the world.”

Other than the race, beach-lovers were also invited to savor Kuta’s longest pizza (100 metres long!) prepared by the resort’s creative culinary team.

The winning runners received the latest running gear by Adidas Indonesia, while other participants still had the chance to win lucky draw prizes.
