Serge Lutens, the haute perfumery with niche fragrance and cosmetic brand is named after the multitalented artist himself with his extensive careers encompassing fashion design, perfume design, photography and many others. His great passion in fashion led him to Shiseido to develop their image in 1980. The partnership was mutually successful. Shiseido gave Lutens his start in the fragrance industry creating legendary fragrances in 1982 with Nombre Noir and in 1992 with Feminite du Bois.

In late 1990’s and early 2000, Lutens embarked on his own venture and has created niche fragrances with a wide range collection with unique names which tell unique stories behind each fragrance. Lutens opened his first boutique in the heart of the Palais Royal in Paris. This space designed like a teahouse has fascinated lovers of perfume and beauty in all its forms ever since.
