R Home, transpired by Our Home, founded by Tiffany Mihardja, a young student entrepreneur who is actively involved in humanitarian issues, particularly for young refugees in Indonesia. Tiffany initiated R Home’s first painting competition for the young refugee friends of the Cisarua Hope Learning Center (HLC). The R Home community believes that painting is a therapeutic means to release emotions. Through numerous painting competitions, the creations of the competition’s winners are then curated into a range of lifestyle merchandise – ready to wear, scarves, tote bags and many others. R Home in collaboration with Alleira Batik creates ready to wear collections with batik motifs painted by the young refugees in Cisarua.
R Home’s beautiful creations stand as a means to both share the powerfully resilient stories of her refugee friends, and also to raise funds to support the education of refugees residing in Indonesia and provide daily necessities. R Home strives to invite members of the civic society to support our refugee friends through empowering their creations.
In conjunction with the World Refugee Day which falls on 20 June 2022, R Home in collaboration with Alleira batik presents a fashion show to support and empower the creations from the talented refugee friends. On the occasion, also invited Ann Maymann, the UNHCR Representative to Indonesia who shared that currently there are around 3000 refugee children in Indonesia mostly coming from Afghanistan, Somalia, Myanmar and others. The fashion show was presented by Madame Ambassadors from many countries, journalists and kind hearted donors. Lions Tulip donated a fund of IDR 35 million to HLC.
