Archipelago International joins Bali’s Biggest Clean Up 2023 to show its commitment to environmental sustainability and protection. Bali’s Biggest Clean Up is an annual event by One Island One Voice to raise awareness of the plastic pollution problem in Bali. Started in 2016, Bali’s Biggest Clean Up is the event that embraces all the people, organizations, businesses, and government bodies to come together and make Bali a better place.
This year, Bali’s Biggest Clean Up 2023 was held on 19 February 2023, with 156 volunteers from 12 hotels under Archipelago International in Bali.
Bali’s Biggest Clean Up 2023 was organized in partnership with local communities, businesses, and the government. Volunteers gathered at Padang Galak Beach, Bali to clean up plastic waste and other debris as well as to promote environmental awareness and encourage sustainable behavior.
“We are delighted to be part of Bali’s Biggest Clean Up 2023,” said John Flood, President and CEO of Archipelago International. “As part of our corporate social responsibility, we believe that we have to give back to the communities where we operate. Archipelago has implemented several sustainable initiatives like no plastic water bottles in all guest rooms in all of our hotels and several programs are in place across all areas that reduce the use of paper and other disposables. We hope this event will inspire many others to join our efforts to preserve Bali’s natural beauty to share with the tourists visiting the island and the future generation.”
