
Taking the moment of the holy month of Ramadan, The Sultan Hotel & Residence Jakarta successfully held an iftar event with orphans, as part of the hotel’s annual CSR initiatives.
This event was held in collaboration with PT. Bantu Group Indonesia and Box2Box’s flagship of children’s programs on digital streaming platforms, “Uncle Gery’s Tales” (Dongeng Paman Gery), and also fully supported by Kumi Kopi, Said Management & Leguri. Invited 150 orphans from the Al Furqon & Aisyiyah Foundation to celebrate the joy of Ramadan by sharing donations and took place at the Lagoon Garden Hall. The event started with a hotel tour to the iconic Golden Ballroom and other facilities.
After that, they took part in the “Uncle Gery’s Tales” (Dongeng Paman Gery) session before breaking their fast, listening to a variety of fairy tales for everyone, from fables to sci-fi and day-to-day themes. Educating and entertaining stories which are suitable for the whole family.
At the event, there were also recitations of the Al-Qur’an from the Al Furqon & Aisyiyah Foundation and Islamic chants from Bantu Musik. On the occasion, donations for orphans and unfortunate children are not only in the form of cash offerings from the hotel, along with multipurpose gifts and snack packages from PT.
