In the spirit of sharing and spreading kindness during the holy month of Ramadan, Ascott Regional Jabotabek reaffirmed its social commitment through a series of activities titled “Road to Ascott Takes Part Ramadan.” The initiative took place over two consecutive days on 3–4 March 2026 at Masjid Istiqlal and Panti Asuhan Tebet, in collaboration with the Foodbank of Indonesia (FOI). During the activities, Ascott distributed more than 500 meal boxes for iftar (breaking the fast) and organized a variety of interactive games and activities to bring joy and entertainment to the children at the orphanage.

This social initiative involved representatives from more than 30 properties under The Ascott Limited’s portfolio, including the brands Ascott, Citadines, Oakwood, Somerset, Harris, Vertu, Yello, Fox, Pop!, Pesona Alam, and The Botanica Sanctuary. The collective participation reflects a strong spirit of collaboration and a shared responsibility to foster care and compassion within the community.
As part of the broader Ascott Takes Part Ramadan CSR program, a main event will also be held on 11 March, targeting densely populated residential areas. This initiative represents Ascott’s ongoing commitment to strengthening relationships within the community while sharing happiness with those in need.
Elgar Gumilang, chairman of this year’s Ascott Takes Part Ramadan initiative, expressed his gratitude for the successful implementation of the program. He also extended his appreciation to all parties who contributed to making the event meaningful and impactful.
Representatives from Masjid Istiqlal, Mr. Bukhori Sail Attahiri, as well as Ms. Mey from Panti Asuhan Tebet, also conveyed their gratitude for the initiative. They expressed hope that similar activities can continue in the future and provide lasting benefits for the surrounding community and children in need.
This program aligns with Ascott Cares, which is built upon five key pillars: Community, Alliance, Respect, Environment, and Supply Chain. The initiative particularly reflects the Community and Respect pillars, demonstrating Ascott’s ongoing commitment to supporting communities and fostering a spirit of mutual respect during the holy month of Ramadan.
